This period normally equates to a maximum of ten years from date of purchase. This manufacturer' s guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
What does rust causing failure mean?
The guarantee covers failure due to rust which is defined as a perforation or breakage of the steel tubing.Nuts, bolts and fittings are not covered by the lifetime guarantee. The guarantee is not a cover against surface rust for which maintenance instructions are included with the product. We advise that should surface rust appear it should be rubbed down with course sandpaper or wire wool and retouched with a non toxic galvanised paint suitable for outdoor use.
Why do my rungs appear to be the wrong length and will not fit?
Check that you have left all the bolts just finger tight. The frame needs to be left with as much flexibility as possible until all the parts are in place. Only then, should the bolts be fully tightened.
Why are my rungs in different positions where the extension legs are fitted to the picture in the instruction?
Check that the extension legs with blue marks are matched to the main legs with blue marks and are also alternate to the legs with no blue marks. When this is correct the rungs will be in the correct positions as shown.
Why are the holes drilled in the wrong direction on legs so the rungs will not fit.
Check the legs with blue marks and without blues alternate as this denotes left and right handed legs. Once in correct positions the rungs will fit as shown in the instructions.
Why are the drilled holes in some rungs in the wrong position to align with the holes in the connectacaps?
The hole centre positions can differ by upto 2mm so the connectacap is designed with an internal grove to accommodate this. When the hole is furthest from the end of the rung, the connectacap will require a sharp tap to drive it fully home. We recommend tapping it against a solid surface such as a floor. Sometimes the fit can be quite tight so several taps may be required.
Why has the split washer disappeared into the hole of the top bend assembly?
This is normal. It acts as a centralising bush rather than a traditional washer.
