Certified Timber: FSC® & PEFC
At TP, we believe that outdoor play should protect the world our children will grow up in. That’s why all of our wooden toys are made using certified timber—roughly 50% from FSC®-certified sources and 50% from PEFC-certified sources. These certifications give you peace of mind that the wood we use comes from forests that are managed responsibly, with respect for people, wildlife, and the environment.
FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council®
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is a globally recognised non-profit organisation that promotes environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and economically viable forest management.
FSC certification guarantees that the timber comes from forests where biodiversity is protected, rights of indigenous people and workers are respected, and harvesting is done in a way that maintains the forest’s long-term health.
FSC-certified wood may also include controlled sources, which helps reduce the risk of timber being linked to deforestation, illegal logging, or human rights abuses.

PEFC – Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is a certification system that works with national standards to ensure sustainable forest management worldwide.
PEFC works with small forest owners, local communities, and indigenous groups to ensure that forests are managed with care—not just for today, but for generations to come. PEFC certification covers a wide range of environmental, social, and ethical criteria, including protection of water resources, rare species, and workers’ rights.
