Lovely product

"Really lovely sandpit and the kids love it. The wood is lovely and it is a great addition to their play area. Only thing I would say is to allow plenty of assembly time for two people as we opened the box in the evening before our twins birthday and had a mini breakdown when we saw the amount of pieces! It took us about 41/2hours to assemble."

I hadn’t realised it needed

"I hadn’t realised it needed complete assembly so was a shock to be confronted with so many parts. That said the instruction book was very clear and easy to follow. I was glad to have power screwdriver, that was an essential. I am 67 yr old grandma and it took me a day. I did feel quite proud of self when finished. The grandchildren do love it but sandpit is only big enough for one at a time really ( 3yrs, 2yrs and 18 months). I think the ties could be elastic with toggles to hold cover on(will probably fit them before end of Summer). Also the screws to hold sail could be better, sail blows off in slightest wind. These are small tweaks that wouldn’t cost much to make a great product into a brilliant one. I built it in conservatory as weather was bad now it’s in garden. It is clever design the way it slides across to cover sand so no worries of animals visiting during the night. Will move back inside over winter. It is great to encourage imaginative play, It has been the boat the boat to treasure and the Night Garden, I am sure as they get older it will be the ship to many adventures"

Nice product- full assembly required

"We bought the pirate ship in the sale so it was a good price. I then read reviews that were quite negative in terms of the assembly required which worried me. The ship comes completely unassembled . There were some stickers and the instructions seemed good although he had to redo a couple of bits to ensure the water tray could fit. My husband probably took about 6 hours over a couple of days to assemble. He needed an electric drill / screwdriver to do this plus he needed to measure to ensure accuracy. The finished ship is really nice- suitable for smaller children, mostly pre school. Looking forward to seeing our grandchildren playing with it."

Great addition to the garden

"When this came out of the box each part had stickers on however lots had fallen off so a tape measure is needed as the instructions say what size piece is needed next. Isaac loves it, however one thing it didn't come with, the chalk that's showm on this photo so maybe missingv"

No pre drilled holes in

"No pre drilled holes in some pieces of wood. Appears to have some treatment for protection but not clearly stated. No indication of lining included to hold sand. Overall coming together nicely pleased at the moment. 🤞"

Nightmare - avoid

"Terrible. Absolute nightmare to put together. Parts missing. Needs a skilled joiner to build. Would never ever purchase again. I can't stress this strongly enough."
