"This has been a massive hit with my 18 month old who plays with it every day. The little set of pans it comes with are a good addition, though we’ve got some other metal cookware to top it up (favourite is a metal teapot from a charity shop!) It took a bit of putting together as all the boards screw on individually with 4 screws per board, but that makes it lovely and sturdy. It has a wide age range of appeal - my friend’s 7 year old always asks for five more minutes to play with it!"

"This ‘Mud Kitchen’ turns out exactly as advertised - comes flat-pack but with clear diagrammatic instructions for assembly. Set aside 3-4 hours for assembly, and screwing in over 120 screws, but the result is good. The pieces are predrilled for the screw insertion but not in the receiving wood - I found it made things much quicker if drilling pilot holes in the receiving wood. . See the photo!"

"This is our second mud kitchen, our first was purchased a few years ago for our grandson, his younger sister still plays with it today. This second purchase is for our twin grandaughters, as we known they will get many hours of play from it. What wood have you used and what have you done to it to make it more weather proof?
The wood is yellow cypress and is pressure treated
Is it ok to leave it outside or should we paint it or cover it?
The Mud Kitchens are pre-treated but like any other wooden item in the garden we would advise to store somewhere dry and indoors over winter to prolong the life
What’s the height of the bench?
The height to the play area is approximately 50cm
