It’s important not to give your children too many toys. This can overwhelm them and create toy boredom. For kids who aren’t mobile yet, it’s recommended that they only have around 4 toys available in their immediate surroundings. For kids who are crawling, this number increases to 8 toys. So, the number of toys for a one-year-old depends on their development stage.

How can I keep my child interested in their toys?

There is such a thing as too many toys for a one-year-old. Having too many toys can lead to toy boredom, so to keep your child interested in their toys, you should rotate them every few weeks. They should have the number of toys we mentioned above available, but then parents should pack some away and get some new toys out now and then, to give play time a refresh.
